Draisinenlauf Altenglan

The Draisinenlauf Altenglan on 21 June 2026 is a half-marathon event with individual and relay competitions (2-person and 4-person relays). The course follows the Glan-Blies cycle path alongside the draisine railway line. It is officially measured, flat, with only 45 metres of elevation gain, and almost entirely paved. The event takes place in all weather conditions and offers a unique atmosphere in the Kuseler Musikantenland, with dresines passing by. Safety is provided by the DLRG OG Altenglan and the DRK Kreisverband Kusel medical services. Medals are awarded to all finishers in the children’s and youth races, and prize money is awarded to the fastest half-marathon runners.

Timing is by disposable transponders issued with the race bib. Race bibs must be worn visibly on the chest. There is no walking event. Half-marathon prize money: €150 for 1st place, €100 for 2nd place, €50 for 3rd place. Special prizes for the clubs and schools with the most participants, and for the oldest participants. The event is approved by the DLV (5-year age-group scoring under the DLO). The course is flat, measured and almost entirely paved; relay and individual starts; refreshments every 2.5 km; registration only through BR-Timing; race bibs with transponders; certificates for all finishers; travel by train is possible; refreshments and award ceremonies on site.
