Race description
The Draisinenlauf Altenglan on June 21, 2026, is a half marathon event featuring individual and relay competitions (2-person and 4-person relays). The course runs along the Glan-Blies cycling trail on the Draisinen track, is officially measured, flat with only 45 meters of elevation gain, and almost entirely asphalted. The event takes place in all weather conditions and offers a unique atmosphere in the Kuseler Musikantenland, accompanied by passing Draisinen. Safety is provided by medical services from the DLRG OG Altenglan and the DRK Kreisverband Kusel. Medals are awarded to all finishers of the children's and youth runs, and prize money is available for the fastest half marathon runners.

Additional information
Timing is done with disposable transponders issued with the bib number. Bib numbers must be visibly worn on the chest. There is no walking discipline. Prize money for the half marathon: €150 for 1st place, €100 for 2nd place, €50 for 3rd place. Special prizes for the most participating clubs and schools as well as for the oldest participants. The event is approved by the DLV (5-point scoring according to DLO). The course is flat, measured, almost entirely asphalted; relay and individual starts; provisions every 2.5 km; registration only via BR-Timing; bib numbers with transponder; certificates for all finishers; travel by train is possible; on-site catering and award ceremonies.
