DJK Jakobuslauf

The Augsburg St. James Run, organized by the DJK Diocesan Association, is a special mass-participation event held as part of Augsburg’s oldest folk festival, the Jakober Kirchweih. The run is open to joggers and walkers and deliberately has no official timekeeping, embracing the motto “Experience over Results.” The event includes children’s races and three distances for adults, including a quarter marathon along the Lech. The start and finish are at Jakobsplatz by the famous Fuggerei, giving the run a historic and atmospheric setting.
