Race description

The Augsburg Jakobuslauf of the DJK Diözesanverband is a special recreational sports event held as part of the oldest Augsburg folk festival, the Jakober Kirchweih. The race is aimed at joggers and walkers and deliberately does not include official timing to embody the motto "Experience over Result." The event includes student races as well as three routes for adults, including a quarter marathon along the Lech River. Start and finish are at Jakobsplatz at the famous Fuggerei, giving the race a historic and atmospheric setting.
