Race description
The Dinkelsbühl relay race takes place on 12 July 2026 in the historic old town of Dinkelsbühl. Each relay team consists of four runners, each completing a lap of approximately 3 kilometres around the old town. The course passes sights including the Alte Promenade, Wörnitztor, Stadtpark and Musik-Pavillon, accompanied by an inclusive drumming group. Children can take part in the Funtasia Kids-Run, with age-appropriate courses. Alongside the sporting competition, the event offers a varied programme featuring music, a bouncy castle and refreshments.

Start and finish are at the Dreifachturnhalle, Ulmer Weg 6, Dinkelsbühl. Race pack collection and late registration from 08:45. Announcements and DJ music from 09:00. Children’s warm-up before the Kids-Runs. Awards ceremony and raffle after the relay race. The course is marked with arrows and easy for spectators to see. The children’s programme includes a bouncy castle, free ice cream, coffee and cake, and food and drinks. The relay course was changed in 2025 and includes a sharp right-hand turn at its highest point. Course: approximately 3 km lap; registration, awards ceremony, raffle and refreshments; relay baton handover; start at the Dreifachturnhalle, Ulmer Weg 6.
