Race description

The DeisterCrossing is a nature-oriented endurance event that combines running and marching in the outstanding natural scenery of the wooded Deister mountain range. The event offers courses over 10 km, 21.1 km, and 42.2 km for runners and marchers. The challenging routes include, among others, the Deister Hölle with 200 meters of elevation gain in a row and provide a unique natural and mountain experience near Hanover. The event is relaxed, with consideration among participants, and offers, in addition to the sporting challenge, refreshment points, finisher gifts, and an awards ceremony.

Additional information

Number pickup from 7:15 a.m. at IGS Springe. Timing chip is issued and exchanged at the finish for a wheat beer glass with DC logo. Showers and changing rooms are available in the sports hall of IGS Springe. Parking is available at IGS, Netto, and BZE. Arrival by S5 to Springe station, a 10-minute walk to the school center north. Refreshment points with seating and sandwiches, finish buffet. Awards ceremony for the top three women and men in the running competitions at 12:00 p.m. (10 km and half marathon) and 2:30 p.m. (marathon). Marchers receive patches to sew on. Routes in forested areas, refreshment points, patches for marchers, online certificates, award ceremonies, parking, showers & changing rooms in the sports hall, travel by train.
