Borkumer Meilenlauf und Nordic Walking

The 20th Borkum Mile Run with Nordic Walking takes place on 5 September 2026 on the North Sea island of Borkum. The varied courses wind through the island’s scenic beaches and dunes, offering a suitable challenge for every aspiring runner, from the junior Pirate Run to the quarter marathon. The offshore climate and fresh sea air make the event a special experience, rounded off by an extensive programme for participants and their companions.

Late entries are possible on site on event day up to 45 minutes before the start of the competition, for a late-entry fee of EUR 5.00, but without entitlement to the full package of services or a T-shirt. Refreshments on the course and at the finish, changing rooms, bag storage, showers, and 90 minutes of free access to the Erlebnisdeck at Gezeitenland are included. Discounted ferry fares are also available on the event weekend. Courses along the promenade and beach; no age categories for Nordic Walking; refreshment stations on longer courses.
