Bergkloster-Lauf

The Bergklosterlauf, organized by TuS Velmede-Bestwig in cooperation with Bergkloster Bestwig, will take place on September 27, 2026, in the Sauerland. The races over 6, 10, and 21 kilometers lead through idyllic stream valleys, over ridges with great viewpoints, and through small settlements before ending at Bergkloster Bestwig. In addition to the races, there are children's and youth races as well as a supporting program with live music, childcare, free massages, and extensive catering. The event is also part of the Volksbank Sauerland Laufcup of LAC Veltins Hochsauerland. Start and finish are easily accessible and offer ample parking as well as affordable overnight stays at Bergkloster.

After crossing the finish line, free massages are offered. Childcare for "running parents" is available. Start and finish are only 600 meters apart and are easily accessible by bus, train, and car. There are 500 parking spaces nearby, including spots for motorhomes. Affordable overnight accommodations are available at Bergkloster. The 10 km run is also open to walkers.
