Bergkloster-Lauf

The Bergklosterlauf, organized by TuS Velmede-Bestwig in cooperation with Bergkloster Bestwig, takes place on September 27, 2026, in the Sauerland. The 6, 10 and 21-kilometer races pass idyllic streams, run along ridges with magnificent views and through smaller settlements before finishing at Bergkloster Bestwig. In addition to the races, there are children’s and youth races, plus a supporting program featuring live music, childcare, free massages and extensive catering. The event is also part of the Volksbank Sauerland Laufcup organized by LAC Veltins Hochsauerland. The start and finish are easy to reach and offer ample parking, as well as affordable accommodation at Bergkloster.

Free massages are offered after the finish. Childcare is available for “running parents.” The start and finish are just 600 meters apart and are easy to reach by bus, train or car. There are 500 parking spaces nearby, including spaces for motorhomes. Affordable accommodation is available at Bergkloster. The 10-kilometer race is also open to walkers. The children’s and youth races start at 12:00. The 10-kilometer race and the children’s and youth races are scoring events for the Volksbank Sauerland Laufcup.
