Barsbütteler Volkslauf

The Barsbüttel Volkslauf is a traditional running event held every June at the sports ground in the Barsbüttel Sports Centre. It offers various distances from 400 m to 10 km, mostly on flat, paved or firm sandy farm tracks. Most of the routes pass through the traffic-free Barsbütteler Feldmark and offer beautiful views, particularly the longer 5 km and 10 km routes. Times are recorded electronically, and all participants receive a certificate afterwards. Food and refreshments are also available for runners and spectators.

The 1 km and 2 km routes partly leave the stadium; the longer routes (5 km and 10 km) offer beautiful views and follow firm sandy tracks and paved farm roads.
