Altstadtfestlauf in Lauf

The Altstadtfest Run in Lauf an der Pegnitz takes place every year on Friday evening, opening the Altstadtfest on the last weekend of June. It is considered the world’s largest class reunion and offers runners a special experience, with a setting found nowhere else, such as the pack of runners on the Lauf Water Bridge. There is a 10 km main race with a turnaround point at Lebenshilfe in Schönberg, as well as a 5 km race, including Nordic walking, with a turnaround point on Ottensooser Straße. The event combines sporting competition with a social gathering and also supports social projects.

Race pack collection and on-the-day registration are available on race day from 14:00 to 17:00 in the finish area (Nürnberger Tor, Friedensplatz 1, 91207 Lauf). On-the-day registration incurs an additional fee of €3, payable in cash. Entries received by 19.06.2026 will receive a personalised race bib with the runner’s name. €1 of the entry fee is donated to Lebenshilfe im Nürnberger Land. The race takes place every year on the last weekend of June, with start times of 18:00 for the 10 km race and 18:05 for Nordic walking. The course is scenic and promotes community spirit and charitable causes.
