Race description
The Ahrathon Erlebnislauf on June 13, 2026, in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler offers a varied running experience, from a 500m Bambini run to a 42km marathon. The start and finish are at Weingut Sonnenberg, which also hosts a family festival and a closing festival with live music. The route runs through the picturesque Ahr Valley, with refreshment stations offering wine and gourmet bites as well as water and fruit. The event is known for its special atmosphere, with wine presentations and creative costume runs.

Refreshment stations offer water, isotonic drinks, fruit, energy bars and, at selected stations, wine from renowned wineries. Marathon participants pass the refreshment stations twice; half-marathon and 21km participants pass them once. There is a family festival in the start/finish area, followed by a closing festival with live music from 17:00. Age-group winners receive wine gifts, costume runners are judged on creativity, and winners of the shorter races receive prizes in kind. A running event with wine tastings, distances from 5 km to marathon, costume runs, and a route past the wineries of the Ahr Valley.
