6. Weserbergland Backyard Ultra

The Weserbergland Backyard Ultra Run is a unique ultramarathon event in Höxter, North Rhine-Westphalia, held annually in November. Participants run a loop of approximately 6.7 kilometers every hour until only one runner remains. The race is characterized by its special challenge and the camaraderie among runners. The event is known for its demanding course and the impressive performances of participants, who often go on for many hours and kilometers.

The race traditionally starts at 10 a.m. Registration usually opens very quickly, often resulting in the participant field being fully booked early. Currently, there is no waiting list. The event is organized by TuS Lütmarsen e. V. The number of participants is limited to ensure the quality and safety of the event. It is one of the last major backyard events of the year in Germany, with typical November weather and long nights. Registration opens on May 1, 2026.
