6. O-SEE Backyard Ultra

The O-SEE Backyard Ultra is a unique elimination race around Lake Olbersdorfer near Zittau. The race in the Backyard Ultra format challenges endurance, mental strength, and community spirit, as all runners complete a full lap of 6.7 km together every hour until only one runner remains. The winner qualifies directly for the German Championship and has the chance to participate in the World Championship in Tennessee. The race is limited to 200 participants and offers a family-friendly atmosphere with genuine team spirit.

The race is a Silver Ticket Race, limited to 200 runners. Each lap must be completed within 60 minutes, with the next lap starting on the hour. The winner is the last runner to finish a lap within the time limit. There is a DUV license, and results are published on Facebook and the website. For children, there is the "Backyard for Kids" race with 5 laps of 1000 meters each, starting at 12:00 PM on July 12, 2026. Limited to 200 participants, start and finish at Westparkstadion Zittau/Pethau, minimal elevation change, 24-hour endurance format, also suitable for team competitions.
