55. Volkslauf Rund um Wellen

The 55th Volkslauf Rund um Wellen takes place on August 2, 2026, in Beverstedt-Wellen and is one of Germany’s oldest marathon races, with a family-friendly atmosphere. The event offers challenging courses over four distances: marathon, half marathon, 11 km, and 5 km. Some courses are officially measured by the German Athletics Association (DLV). The routes pass through varied landscapes, including forest trails and different surfaces. The event is organized by TSV Wellen and relies on support from many local volunteers.

Late entries are accepted until 30 minutes before the respective start, with a €3 late-entry fee (except for children’s races). Handwritten commemorative certificates are available for an additional €3. Changing rooms and showers are available at the start and finish area. Participants travelling from farther away can stay overnight in the sports hall by prior arrangement. First-aid services are provided by the German Red Cross. Course marshals are provided by the Wellen Volunteer Fire Brigade and TSV Wellen volunteers. Walkers are welcome in the 5 km, 11 km, and half-marathon events, but are not ranked separately. Multiple race distances, family-friendly, community event in a small village community, supported by the local volunteer fire brigade.
