Race description
The CURREX Alsterlauf is a traditional road race in Hamburg that takes place on a flat, traffic-free loop around the Binnenalster and Außenalster lakes. The event offers a unique start and finish atmosphere in Hamburg city center and is one of the largest 10-kilometer road races in Europe. In addition to the main 10 km race, there are also competitions over 5 km, a student race, and the R5K Tour for young runners. The courses are officially measured and well-suited for fast times.

Start and finish of all competitions at Ballindamm. The courses are flat, paved, and traffic-free. Each kilometer is marked with signs. There is a high-quality functional shirt that can be ordered online until August 25, 2026, and will be handed out during the event weekend. The Hamburg 10 km road championships are held as part of the Alsterlauf. Event in Hamburg with around 5,400 participants annually, supported by the new title partner CURREX, including charity and hotel partnerships, results, photos, and health checks.
