Race description
The hella hamburg half marathon is a major running event in Hamburg, held annually on the last Sunday in June. On an officially measured, flat, paved 21.1 km course, up to 24,000 runners enjoy a unique running party through the Hanseatic city. The route passes around 50 landmarks and is accompanied by numerous event spots with DJ support and live music. The event is known for its great atmosphere and traffic-free course, secured by the police and course marshals.

Sunday start from 08:30, course closes at 13:40 (maximum finish time 3:30 h). Runners born in 2010 or earlier are eligible to participate. A withdrawal option can be booked for 10.00 euros until 9 June 2026. Medal engraving (8.00 euros), a technical shirt (35.00 euros) and official socks (20.00 euros) can be ordered online until 9 June 2026. Race-pack collection takes place in the foyer (details are incomplete in the text). The course is flat, paved and traffic-free; registration is online; race-pack collection is at the exhibition grounds; timing uses a transponder; separate classifications for men and women.
