Race description
The Schneekopflauf is one of the most beautiful and challenging mountain runs in Germany, taking place in the Thuringian Forest. The course runs from Schmiedefeld over the Große Finsterberg to the Schneekopf and covers 12.7 and 22.2 kilometers full of inclines and elevation gain. This race is especially suitable for experienced runners who want to test their limits. Since 2025, there is also a Schneekopf hike for Nordic walkers and hikers, who will also be rewarded with a medal at the summit.

Registrations are possible from 26.06.2026 until 30.06.2026, 23:59. A cancellation is possible until 30.04.2026 with a 50% refund minus a 5 EUR processing fee. An upgrade from 12.7 km to 22.2 km is possible against payment of the difference; no refund if downgrading. Start places are not transferable.
