19. Lauf zwischen den Meeren

The Lauf zwischen den Meeren is a unique relay race that takes participants as a team along a 92.2-kilometre course from Husum on the North Sea to Damp on the Baltic Sea. The route crosses Schleswig-Holstein and connects the coasts of the two seas, with up to ten athletes per team running together. The race promotes both individual performance and a sense of community, attracting up to 800 teams from recreational and elite sports. The fastest relay teams take around 5 hours and 10 minutes and reach the finish at approximately 14:15.

The entry fee is per team (5–10 runners). Teams entering the corporate category pay an additional 19% VAT. Race packs can be sent by post (the shipping option can be booked until 31.03.2026) or collected at one of two collection times (22 May, 10:00–18:00; 29 May, 13:00–20:00). The race starts at the Hafenspitze in Husum and is organised by LAV Husum. The route includes 10 changeover points and is temporarily closed at level crossings.
