19. Burgberglauf Gehrden

The Burgberglauf 2026 will take place on June 20th in Gehrden and offers runners various distances on a challenging 3.3 km loop course with approximately 50 meters of elevation. The route passes through forest terrain and fields, requiring good basic fitness. There is a separate flat loop course for children under 12 years old, while toddlers start on shorter rounds around the sports field. The event is family-friendly and features, in addition to the races, a raffle with attractive prizes as well as catering for spectators and participants.

Start and finish at the sports field of Matthias-Claudius-Gymnasium, Knülweg 10, 30989 Gehrden. Changing rooms and showers available in the sports hall. Parking not possible in the event area. Bib number distribution from 11:00 AM in the sports hall. Fully electronic timing with chip on shoe, chip must be returned after crossing the finish line (€10 fee for loss). Raffle with attractive prizes, main prize a pizza oven. Toddler races (300 m and 700 m) start at 2:00 PM, registration for toddlers also possible on-site on the event day (€3 cash). Catering for spectators with bratwurst, drinks, and ice cream. Route: challenging 3.3 km loop, forest paths, paved; registration only online; bibs in the sports hall; no parking in the event area; toddler races without placements, medal included.
