19. Burgberglauf Gehrden

The Burgberglauf 2026 takes place on June 20 in Gehrden and offers runners a choice of distances on a challenging 3.3 km loop with around 50 metres of elevation gain. The course passes through woodland and open farmland and requires a good level of fitness. Children under 12 have a separate, flat out-and-back course, while the Bambini runners start on shorter loops around the sports field. The event is family-friendly and, in addition to the races, offers a raffle with attractive prizes as well as refreshments for spectators and participants.

Start and finish at the sports field of Matthias-Claudius-Gymnasium, Knülweg 10, 30989 Gehrden. Changing rooms and showers are available in the sports hall. Parking is not available in the event area. Race bib collection from 11:00 a.m. in the sports hall. Fully electronic timing via a chip attached to the shoe; return the chip after finishing (a €10 fee applies if it is lost). Raffle with attractive prizes; the grand prize is a pizza oven. The Bambini races (300 m and 700 m) start from 2:00 p.m. Bambini entries are also accepted on site on race day (€3, cash only). Refreshments for spectators include bratwurst, drinks and ice cream. Course: challenging 3.3 km loop, woodland trails, paved; online registration only; race bibs collected in the sports hall; no parking in the event area; Bambini races have no placings and include a medal.
