Race description
The Fullestrand Ultramarathon takes place on June 13, 2026, in Kassel and offers a challenging 46.5 km course along the Fulda with about 350 metres of elevation gain. The route heads upstream from Kassel, follows the Fuldahöhenweg and returns along the Fuldaradweg, passing through varied landscapes and natural areas. Organized by Laufwerk Kassel under the direction of Sylke Kuhn, the event combines a sporting challenge with the beauty of northern Hesse’s nature and culture.

Additional information
Meet at 7:58 a.m. at the start. Start and finish are at Auedamm 17 in Kassel, opposite the Pfannkuchenhaus next to the Auebad. Parts of the route follow cycle paths; traffic lights must be used at the Hafenbrücke. The event is organized by Sylke Kuhn, who also oversees other marathon and ultramarathon races in the region. The course includes flat paths and muddy singletrack, is unmarked, has water stations, and has an 8-hour time limit.
