13. Himmelswegelauf

The 13th Himmelswegelauf on June 13, 2026, takes participants through a unique cultural landscape around Nebra (Unstrut). The race routes connect important archaeological sites such as the Pömmelte Ring Sanctuary, the Goseck solar observatory and the discovery site of the Nebra Sky Disc. The start and finish are at the Arche Nebra visitor center, near the Sky Disc, which is considered the oldest concrete depiction of the cosmos. In addition to the marathon, half marathon and 10 km Sky Disc Run, there are also walking events, cycling tours and hikes to the discovery site. The event is under the patronage of the Minister-President of Saxony-Anhalt and offers an appealing cultural and sporting experience.

Race pack collection and late registration are available on event day, with different times for the marathon, half marathon, Sky Disc Run, walking events and cycling tour. In addition to the running events, the event also offers walking, cycling tours and hikes. The award ceremonies are hosted by Radio SAW presenter Holger Tapper. The event is open to runners, cyclists, walkers and hikers; registration is required. The event is scheduled for June 13, 2026.
