13. Heilwald Marathon

The Heilwald Marathon in Bad Lippspringe is a special race held in the midst of the 200-hectare Heilwald, a recreational and therapeutic forest unique in Europe, with a soothing low-mountain climate. The course consists of six large loops of 7.05 km each, for a total of 42.3 km, and has been carefully measured using a measuring wheel and GPS. This is a private, self-supported running event with manual timekeeping; a photo of the clock must be submitted as proof. Participants take part at their own risk. There is no entry fee; instead, voluntary donations for tree planting are requested.

Time is recorded using a manual stopwatch; proof must be submitted by email on race day as a photo of the clock. Showers and changing facilities are not available. Participant limit: 18. Minimum age: 18. Participation is at your own risk, with a liability waiver. The organizer reserves the right to reject registrations without giving a reason.
