11. Lichterlauf Tangermünde

The Tangermünde Lichterlauf is an atmospheric race right on the Elbe in the historic imperial town of Tangermünde. On August 21, 2026, runners of all ages and ability levels can take part in several race distances, including a children’s run, a 5 km fun run, a 10 km main race and a team relay. The course runs along the picturesque Elbe promenade and offers a special atmosphere, followed by an after-run party in Tangermünde. The race is a community sporting event that puts fun, exercise and team spirit front and center.

Timing is provided using a chip that must be returned after the race. Medical support is available along the course. All participants receive a certificate, which is available online. The team relay is awarded a trophy. Race numbers must be worn clearly visible on the chest. Refreshments are provided before, during and after the race. The event takes place at Bleichenberg on the banks of the Elbe and includes various distances, children’s and youth races, and an after-run party. It is part of the regional race calendar and offers a family-friendly atmosphere.
